Blind rounds are 20 minutes in duration. Clock may be stopped to resolve
conflicts. Tables will finish hands currently in play, but will cease
further play until clock is restarted.
-
Initial Chip Count: 2000 points
-
Big Blind may raise on first betting round! Check raises are
welcomed.
-
DO NOT SPLASH THE POT!! Dealer will collect chips and place into
pot. Chips splashed into pot by players will be forfeited.
-
Minimum bet is the value of the current big blind. Minimum raise is the
value of the current big blind. Ie. BB = 25pt. Next player raises 25pts.
Next player may raise 40points, but at LEAST 25pts, unless he calls or
folds.
-
When the number of players at a table differs from the other tables by at
least two, a player from on of the larger tables will move to the smaller
table. If there are two or more larger tables equal in size, smaller table
will deal a card to each table. The table with the high card will move the
player in the big blind to the big blind position at the smaller table.
-
We try to play with dedicated dealers. Volunteers are welcome. Guests
with poor eyesite automatically gain center position of the table. Players
will seat themselves around said players. If more than one such concession
is made, those players will be assigned to different tables as far as is
possible
-
Table position will be determined by card draw. Ie, a table of seven
players will have a suit of cards (A-7). The middle card is given to any
player with concessions, or the dealer. The rest of the players will seat
themselves around the dealer or player, low card to the right, high cards to
the left. When playing multiple tables, all seating cards will be placed
into a single deck for selection.
-
A ten-minute break will be allowed at the expiration of each hour of play.
-
No rebuys are allowed
-
Cards speak for themselves. Best hand of five cards will stand, even if a
player declares something else. We may be playing for points, but we're
still here to have fun and learn.
-
DRUNK AND ROWDY PEOPLE ARE BANISHED TO THE CAGE!
-
Penalties for poor play, inattention, absence and late arrivals are under
consideration for future games
-
Straights: In a straight, a 7-6-5-4-3 will beat a 5-4-3-2-A. As counts as
the lowest card only in a straight.
-
In the hand after a big blind is eliminated, the button will move normally and there will be no small blind. The following hand, the button will move into the position where the eliminated player was, creating a dead button situation.
In the hand after a small blind is eliminated, the button will move into the position where the eliminated player was, creating a dead button situation.
In the hand after both blinds are eliminated, the button will move into the position where the former small blind was and there will be no small blind. The following hand, the button will move into the position where the former big blind was.
Through players being eliminated, no player should miss a big or small blind
-
Split pot: whenever a pot must be split, and there is a denomination of chips
left that is indivisible with the chips in play on the table, the remainder
will constitute the pot for the next hand.
